Foreword
Trish Clark

After leaving my previous career in the Australian travel industry to research and write, I successfully published two sold-out volumes of Good Night and God Bless: A Guide to Convent and Monastery Accommodation in Europe.

Another adventure beckoned. Walking the entire length of the Camino de Santiago took me six weeks and two separate attempts. Writing the guidebook took more than a year—but it was time well spent, reliving such a memorable, momentous journey.

Even when I am working on other projects, I think about the Camino every day. Following all those yellow arrows across Spain for weeks on end taught me much about life, about myself, about freedom, about perseverance, about trusting God and about the abundant joys of living a simple life.
